It is sometimes very difficult to find the right toys for your children, expecially for the smaller ones. Young ones are litteraly like sponges, they absorb everything, it is a period where they learn tons of things, for example on how to behave, etc. It is thus important that the toys you choose help them in their quest for learning and adjusting to a world that is still a little bit foreign to them. Toys for children have to stimulate their curiosity as well as help their hand to eye movement coordination. They have to stimulate their minds and bodies at the same time.
Toys for the smallest one should principally aim to develop the toddler's motricity, his capacity to coordinate his movements. There are many such toys, both for indoor or outdoor uses. A child with these kind of toys will have a great advantage over a child deprived of them and will develop faster. Hand to eye movements stimulate neuronal connections in the baby's brain. All kinds of toys fits this description, in general toys where the baby has to stack, store, arrange, grab are good toys for promoting a healthy development.
Kids also love to mimic their parents and there are a lot of toys that enable them to do just that. Boys and girls will find nurseries, workbenches, kitchen and more. Children learn a lot by mimicing adults (a great reason to be careful in front of children!). These toys come in all shapes and sizes, often with bright colors to stimulate children senses.
For toddlers, bright colors attract their attention, and stimulate their senses which make them want to grab the toys. Make sure that there are no sharp edges to these kind of toys so as to no put baby in harm's way. Such toys should have soft edges. Sound also plays a big role in the development of small children, as such toys that produce sounds when pressed on or moved around a great for young ones.
