While you can buy various products designed to keep it safe one of the best ways to care for your new cell phone is to simply clean it. This can be a problem for many people since the iPhone is so unique with it's touch sensitive screen that people don't know how to correctly clean their phone without damaging it.
Of course, when you are cleaning your iPhone, you don't want to simply wash it with any type of cleaners, because these cleaners could actually cause the iPhone to malfunction, thus giving you a defective product. When you are cleaning your iPhone, you must ensure that you take extra care, and don't do it if you are in a rush. The reason behind this is because if you are lazy, or in a hurry, you may damage the inner workings of the iPhone, as well as the ever important screen. When you are cleaning your iPhone, there are several items that you must have. These items will allow you to effectively clean your phone without damaging the sensitive touch screen or the inner workings of your fantastic cell phone.
To clean your iPhone you will need a microfiber cloth that is available from one of the many Apple iPhone retailers and also some water. You may also find it helps to play your favorite CD as you clean to make you more relaxed and make the process more enjoyable. You should never use any chemical cleaning agents on your iPhone as these could cause severe damage to the screen. Fill a small cup with water and then dip the corner of cloth into it, allowing it to become saturday with water.
Before starting to clean your iPhone you need to check that you aren't using too much water. You can check this by using either a mirror or a piece of glass and wiping off a corner with the wet cloth. If you see streaming drops of water coming from where you wiped then you have too much water and should let the cloth dry out before proceeding.
You should be able to wipe the screen of your iPhone without leaving any drops of water behind. Take the damp cloth and start to wipe the screen following and up and down motion. Never wipe in a circular fashion as this may leave unsightly smudges behind. It will probably take you a couple of wipes to clean the entire surface. An average iPhone user will clean their phone once a week, or maybe once ever two weeks, depending how often they use it.
