The Name of The Game is Training
By: Matt Olinski
With so many different programs available online, how can you tell between a legitimate program and a scam? How can you be sure that what you sign on for won't be just a "good idea". All programs sound good "on paper". They sound something like this "All you need to do is join our comprehensive program and within 3 weeks you'll be living like a king. The money will just roll in without you having to do a thing."
First of all, the old rule applies "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!" There is no program in the world that will work without you working at it.
Secondly, if there is no training or a support staff, stay away. If the company or person who's offering the program, just states that the software is all you need, and doesn't offer any other support, it's 99% certain that it's a scam. Scammers don't care about support, they don't care if you succeed, the only thing they care about is profit for themselves.
The things I mentioned above are so important, that if you don't follow them, you could literally lose thousands of dollars. Also, find out how long the company has been in existence. Get the name of a real person at the company, and speak to them directly. Scams will never give you real contact people.
If the company hasn't been around long, it doesn't necessarily qualify them to be a scam. It just gives you something else to be aware of.
The trainings and support may not be free. Which is O.K... However the support should NEVER run into thousands of dollars, either. I have found several good legitimate programs online, but for the purposes of this article, the one I'd like to focus on, is the Independent Profit Center (IPC) Program.
IPC was started actually working only 3 short years ago by the owner and CEO, Dan Miller. Dan had a vision of an internet company that would really work, and after spending several years of trying (and failing), he finally came across a formula that really works! In fact, the program worked so well, that 1 year after it was up and running, he had quadrupled his pervious years income (he was working 60 hours a week at a job and barely made $30,000/year)! He assembled a computer programming staff to solve problems as they arise (In the computer field, things change on a weekly, sometimes a daily basis.) and started to offer the program, with complete support from Dan personally.
The support is not free. It came to the point of holding "classes" for his students so they could learn from Dan, and also succeed. The cost? How about only $69. This fee not only covers the ‘live training sessions' which Dan has once a week, but also any past sessions that you have total access to. Each session runs approximately 1 ½ hours and if you hook up a mike to your computer, not only can you listen in, but you can ask any questions (directly to Dan) you may have regarding the company or program. He could've easily charged $69 per class and it would still be worth the price! And to top that off, Dan also gives you his personal cell phone number, so even if there's a question that you have during the week, that you feel you need an immediate answer on, help is always available.
The ‘live training sessions' are usually run on a Tuesday evening and usually start either 7:00 P.M. or 8:00 P.M., depending on the week. The best part, is even if, for some reason, you cannot "attend" the meeting at the scheduled time, it is saved in your back office, for review whenever you are ready.
Secondly, you must be prepared to "work". All the information in the world will not help you if you don't apply it. You will need to write "articles" like this, you will need to run ads in Craigslist and other places advertising your business. You need to write responses to commonly asked questions. You need to set up an auto responder, you need to set up an article writer. You need to be able to talk to and mentor people who sign up into your program and help them. You need to set up the actual IPC program. You need to open a website for yourself. You need to have several email acounts at Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo. Does this sound like work? You betcha! You can't have it both ways. You either are going to set up your business so that it gets to not only work, but be extremely profitable, or you just keep doing what your doing. You can actually do this in your "spare time". But the choice is totally up to you.
If you convince yourself that you "really don't have the time" to do this, then don't waste your time and money, or anyone else's by trying to get involved and then complaining about it. There is no shortcut to success. If you want to be successful, you have to pay your dues, just like everyone else. I wouldn't have it any other way, actually, because if it wasn't hard, it wouldn't work. My best parallel to this is when Rocky Balboa was going to fight Apollo Creed. Nobody, including his trainer really thought he could win. His wife was so afraid, she wouldn't support him. He was half defeated before he even started. He didn't even believe in himself. His only thought was "if he could go the distance with Creed, for the first time in his life, he wouldn't think of himself as just another bum from the neighborhood".
He fought Creed. He applauded Creed as being "great".(despite the fact that Creed was kicking the crap out of him) He not only went the 15 rounds, but proved to himself and the whole world, that he could do it. He wasn't just a "legbreaker" anymore. With great risk, comes great reward. Many people are like the Rocky at the beginning of the picture, when he fought "Spider Rico". They try and try. After a little while , they make no money, and they decide to quit. You can find all the excuses you need not to do this and not to succeed. You don't need any help from me to do that. It takes someone great, to
keep trying, after everyone else says to quit. When was the last time you complemented something for being great, after it devistated you, either financially or mentally? Or are you just defeated?
