Is The Segway Personal Transporter A Great Idea?

The Segway Personal Transporter Scooter is a great idea for moving people from one place to another, and it makes a lot of sense and it is so fun to cruise around on. Studies have proven that the Segway handles very well when pitting against uneven sidewalks where roots had pushed them up.
Propose that the makers put lights on the Segway Personal Transporter for night riding, but also do not wish to draw down the battery power. Is it possible to build a headlight or lamp, which can light up the sidewalk or path without drawing down the Segway battery? There are many energy efficient lights, but is there a way to totally skip the battery use and still have a bright light in which people can see for safety? How about a great device which would totally enhance the already unparalleled maneuverability, freedom of movement and advanced energy system, which would allow the full power in contrast to the integrated control system and embedded sensors? Now, that is what I am really talking about.
There are really so many new advances with the Segway, but can we take it to the next level and beyond? I propose a revolutionary new night safety lighting system for the new Segway using electromagnetic induction technology to charge a capacitor instead of the lights working off a battery or power source.
Currently there are some trendy flashlights being used, which you can buy as they use a similar technique and are available thanks to our ever-changing technology. These smaller flashlights work by shaking them for about twenty to thirty seconds and shine for about 6 minutes and they shine quite bright since they use a very bright LED light.
Right now many students are using one of these and are just duct taping it to the Segway to try it out, the question is will Segway integrate such a device into the molded plastic design and will they place two of them one facing down and one facing forward. With sensors, which turn them on as the sun goes down so they will shine and be ready prior till it gets dark like the city's street lights. Ladies and gentlemen it is time to upgrade to Segway Scooters for the future. Think about it.
